Learn the story of Cpt. Charles B. Hall, pre-med standout football player and track athlete at EIU from 1938-1941. Hall left school to train as a fighter pilot and became one of the first Tuskegee Airmen and the first African American to shoot down an enemy plane and to receive the Distinguished Flying Cross
Learn the story of Madonna and Agnes Nolan of Oakland, the sisters trained as nurses and joined the U.S. Army Nursing Corps and were deployed to Italy. The sisters received nationwide attention when their ship was bombed, earning the sister Purple Hearts.
Museum hours are 1:00pm – 4:00pm on Saturdays
